With the revenues from the sale of oyster mushrooms and the loan from Skills and Business for Africa of €500,– I am investing in Drying facility, room expanding and brand development.
Explanation of the investments in the period Mar. – June 2025:
- Setup a mushroom drying facility to cater to the high demand for dried mushrooms. This will be through the purchase of a solar dryer which will also increase the shelf life of the mushrooms. The investment will be around € 400.
- Launching a brand identity for the mushroom business, including packaging design and marketing materials. The investment will be around € 100.
- Expanding room: To obtain more production capacity, the remaining space of the shelter is set up as a growing room. This offers possibilities to scale up production to meet the growing demand, optimize processes and expand the growing area. The investment will be around € 300.
